Every school listed here was confirmed as IB-authorised on the IBO's own school directory, or as a Cambridge-registered centre, at the time of writing. Schools that are in IB candidacy but not yet authorised are excluded from the main school entries. Authorisation dates come directly from the IBO directory. Results data for May 2026 comes from school press releases and verified third-party reporting. No school paid to be included and no school reviewed this guide before publication.

At a Glance: IB and Cambridge School in Bengaluru

The table below covers every confirmed IB-authorised school in the city. Diploma authorisation year tells you how many Diploma cohorts a school has produced. A school authorised in 2023 has completed one or two cohorts at most. A school authorised in 2005 has nearly 20 years of programme delivery behind it. This single figure tells you more than any marketing claim.

North Bengaluru: Yelahanka, Jala Hobli, Hebbal, and the Airport Corridor

This is where the highest concentration of full-continuum IB schools in the city sits. It is also where the city's heaviest traffic concentrates for families coming from Central, South, or East Bengaluru. A parent in Koramangala considering Stonehill should budget about 45 to 60 minutes each way under normal morning conditions.

Canadian International School (CIS), Yelahanka

Programmes: PYP (Nursery to Grade 5), Cambridge IGCSE (Grades 6 to 10), IB Diploma (Grades 11 and 12). Also offers an Ontario-aligned curriculum for students with a Canadian school background.

This is the oldest IB Diploma school in Bengaluru. The first IB cohort graduated from this campus before most of the other schools on this list had opened. That programme history matters: there are alumni two decades out whose university and career trajectories provide real data on where a CIS graduate ends up.

Fees: Third-party sources report annual tuition in the range of ₹4 lakh (junior years) to ₹10 lakh at Diploma level. CIS does not publish a complete fee schedule on its website. The school charges separately for transport, and bus fees for distances above 30 km are higher. Ask specifically about the Diploma year package, transport, and one-time admission fees before your first campus visit.

A second CIS campus operates in Sarjapur for families in Southeast Bengaluru. The programmes offered at each campus should be confirmed directly, since the curricular pathway can differ between campuses within the same school group.

One question worth asking: what percentage of your most recent Diploma cohort went to universities outside India, and what were the top five destinations?

Stonehill International School, Jala Hobli (near airport)

Programmes: PYP, MYP, Diploma (DP), and the IB Career-related Programme (CP). Day and boarding.

Stonehill sits on 34 acres in Jala Hobli, roughly 12 km from the airport and accessible from Yelahanka, Hebbal, and the Manyata Tech Park corridor. It is one of two schools in Bengaluru also offering the IB Career-related Programme alongside the Diploma, which is relevant for a student who wants to combine IB academic subjects with a specific vocational or career-related focus rather than the pure Diploma route.

Results: In the May 2026 Diploma session, Stonehill reported a cohort average of 35 points, above the global average of 30.88. Two students scored 45 out of 45. Nine students scored 40 and above. 37 percent of the cohort scored 35 and above.

Fees: Stonehill does not publish its fee schedule online and requires a campus appointment to receive fee details. Third-party estimates range from ₹6 lakh to ₹15 lakh annually depending on grade and boarding status. The school offers a scholarship programme each year for students entering Grades 8 to 11.

One question worth asking: the Stonehill campus is far from South and East Bengaluru. If a family relocates within the city, how does the school manage mid-year admission requests?

Bangalore International School (BIS), Hennur-Bagalur Road

Programmes: PYP, IB Diploma, and Advanced Placement (AP). Day and boarding.

BIS is one of the city's older established IB schools, authorised in June 2005, and one of very few schools in India offering AP alongside the IB Diploma. This is relevant for a family with a strong preference for the US college admissions pathway, since AP course scores are widely recognised by US universities for advanced credit.

BIS is a parent-owned school, governed by a board of trustees comprising current parents. This gives it a governance model that is distinctly different from corporate-managed schools and something worth exploring during a campus visit.

Fees: BIS does not publish fees on its website. Contact the school's admissions office directly.

One question worth asking: the school is IBO-authorised for PYP and Diploma but not listed as an MYP school. How does the school structure the Grade 6 to 10 years between PYP and the Diploma?

Delhi Public School Bangalore North, Jala Hobli

Programmes: IB Diploma only (Grades 11 and 12). Day school.

Authorised in March 2023, DPS Bangalore North is one of two recently added DPS campuses in Bengaluru now offering the IB Diploma alongside the school's main CBSE programme. This is one of a growing number of CBSE schools adding a Diploma pathway for Grade 11 and 12 as a parallel track.

What this means in practice: a family with a child at DPS Bangalore North in CBSE through Grade 10 has the option of staying at the same school for the Diploma. A family considering DPS specifically for the Diploma entry at Grade 11 is applying to one of the newest Diploma programmes in the city; the first fully completed cohort under this authorisation is only now finishing. The school subjects listed on the IBO directory include Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Physics, and Chemistry, suggesting a STEM-oriented initial subject offering.

Fees: Not published. Contact admissions.

The School of Raya, Hennur-Bagalur Road

Programmes: PYP, MYP, Diploma. Day school.

Authorised in September 2025, this is the newest IB school on the list. The first Diploma cohort under this authorisation is still more than a year away from sitting their May exams. The school sits on the Hennur-Bagalur Road corridor in North Bengaluru.

Include this school on a shortlist only if a family is enrolling at the PYP or early MYP stage and the location is right, since there is no meaningful Diploma track record to evaluate yet.

Trio World Academy, Sahakar Nagar

Programmes: PYP, Cambridge IGCSE, IB Diploma. Day school.

Located in Sahakar Nagar on the Bellary Road corridor, Trio sits in the gap between central North Bengaluru and the airport road and is more accessible from RMV Extension, Sanjay Nagar, and Hebbal than most international schools in this cluster. The school offers a specific IB Bridging Programme for students transitioning from CBSE or ICSE into the Diploma at Grade 11, which is worth exploring if a family is considering switching boards for the senior years.

Results: In the May 2026 IB session, Trio reported a cohort average of 34.83 points, above the global average. The highest score was 44 out of 45. 50 percent of the cohort scored 35 or above.

Fees: Third-party sources report annual fees in the range of ₹3 lakh to ₹7 lakh, making this one of the more accessible full-programme IB schools in the city by fee level. Confirm current figures directly with the school.

One question worth asking: how does the Bridging Programme prepare CBSE or ICSE students for the criterion-based, application-focused assessment style of the Diploma, and what does the first-term adjustment period look like in practice?

East and Southeast: Whitefield, Sarjapur Road, Varthur, and Bellandur

This corridor, running roughly from Whitefield through Marathahalli and down to the Sarjapur Road, Varthur, Bellandur, and Dommasandra stretch, has the largest cluster of IB schools in Bengaluru and is the primary corridor for families in the technology sector. The campuses here are large, purpose-built, and well-resourced. The trade-off is that much of this corridor sits deep inside traffic-heavy stretches of the city, and school-hour commutes from Central or South Bengaluru routinely run 45 to 75 minutes.
